13) After flunking out of college, I took a year off. I tried a quarter at Seattle U. I didn't do so hot there, either. My "Comparative Religion" class (which was actually a "How all of the Other Religions are Wrong" class) teacher gave me an "F" on a project where we were supposed to create something that demonstrated our vision of God. I put pictures of my campers from summer camp hiking in the Cascades on poster-board, with stories of the lessons learned on our trip. She gave me an "F" because she said I "disregarded the intention of the project" (I think I was supposed to draw an old white man with long hair and a beard) . So I dropped out of Seattle U, and then spent that spring teaching Outdoor Education for the Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle at Camp Hamilton.
