25 Random Things About Me, Continued:

12) Immediately after my flirtations with conservatism, evangelism, ROTC, and sorority girls, I flunked out of college. Yes, really. 1st semester junior year I earned a 0.04 GPA (that's 4 "F's" and a "C", if anyone's counting,) and the following semester I withdrew from everything (without telling my parents, who found out on the day my brother Andre graduated from WAZZU). I could mention that I turned 21 that year, and my school schedule looked like this: Monday-Mug Club night at The Coug, Tuesday-peanut night at (some other bar that I forget the name of), Wednesday-fraternity/sorority exchange night (which is essentially the same thing as themed Burner camp parties now, except that the drug of choice back then was Coors Light), Thursday-Reggae Night at The Cavern, and Friday/Saturday-weekend party nights! Oh, I think I changed majors 5 or six times during this early-college period: Political Science->Criminal Justice->Geology->Wildlife Biology->Marine Biology. How are you supposed to know what you want to be when you grow up when you're 18-21?
