Another Oregon Country Fair photo.
This weekend, Michael, the kids, and I are taking the train to Vancouver, B.C. and spending two nights in the city. We haven't decided where we're staying or what we're doing, other than that we catch the train at 7:45 in the morning on Saturday and get back into Seattle around 10:00 at night on Monday. The kids are going to spend some time tomorrow researching Vancouver and figuring out what we should do and where we should stay. Any suggestions for us?

You'd love Granville Island - lots of art studios and windy streets. You can take a little water taxi for a tooney from the northern mainland to the island. Or you can just drive from the south side. Then head out to Jericho (where the Tasars sail out of) and walk along the beach looking across the bay at downtown Vancouver. You can also rent kayaks and other assorted water vessels there. Oh, and Gastown is another fun area of town. There is a clock that's steam operated there. It's very cool!
