Well thank you for this. I've just (today) actually bought the 28-135mm Canon IS, delivery next week. This after spending two weeks browsing every obscure forum I could find to find opinions, as I wanted a 28-200 originally. Decided on this one in the end. And yes, it's not an 'L', but don't have the cash for that.
Nervous to find out if it's really good enough. My current 18-55 Ef-S is pants (as they say in England). Please tell me the 28-135 is OK-ish as it will be my main lens for my San Francisco visit in October ...
