We went out to Broadway with the kids to do sidewalk chalk for the first time of the season last night. We roped loads of people into doing it with us, and by morning it covered the whole block (we left around 10:30). This guy had been playing guitar, but stopped to join in the chalk. Lovely!
My camera battery died after just five shots, which really sucked, as I finally got a new tripod & head yesterday and was all set up for some cool night photos. Oh well...

ah, I haven't had my sidewalk chalk fix yet this year. Last year I would take chalk with me while I waited for the bus or train. Ironically enough, I'd get so caught up in what I was drawing that I'd end up letting the bus or train pass me by.
