Kalea and Keegan really want a Chihuahua. Ok, to be perfectly honest, ever since meeting Heather and Derek's chihuahuas Tigger and Chieka, I've had a longing for a couple of the love bugs as well. Michael, on the other hand, says absolutely not, and well, being that he's the kids' dad, I guess he pulls some weight.
Kalea even went so far as to fill out an adoption form for rescue chihuahuas on the internet. She wasn't dissuaded by my reminding her that her dad already said no. She says he'll say yes if we name the pup Pixel (which is what Michael wanted to name Kalea when she was a baby).
So what do you think? Should Kalea and Keegan have a Chihuahua? (Don't worry, I'm not really going to get the kids a chuhuahua over their dad's objections...)

The following shall not be construed as evidence of me wanting a chihuahua or as me giving in to familial pressures regarding chihuahua ownership.
However, if there is EVER a chihuahua in this house it will be named Pixel. Pixel is, of course, The Cat Who Could Walk Through Walls. Therefor, the afforementioned chihuahua named Pixel will be refered to as "the cat", "kitty" or "pussy-puss-puss-puss" at all times. When we call the cat, we will say "here, kittykittykitty". It will wear a bell and have a catbox. It will also eat only cat food.
Chihuahuas are really a kind of cat. It's scientific.

My grandmother had a long hair chihuahua, which are even *cuter*, if you ask me. I just wanna know what on earth would Abby think??

Chihuahuas? These are not dogs, these are highly opinionated little live things that think they are entitled to be carried around all the time! And they argue!
Now, a dog with personality would be the Siberian Husky.

YES! I had a chi (actually my folks had one before I was born) and she was THE MOST AWESOME dog. You'll wear him down eventually. How could ANYONE resist this adorable face? ;-)

Hummmmmmmmm, these are pocket dogs, so two things come to mind. They require a coat with large enough pockets to accomodate them, and therefore, they're seasonal, for who wears a coat when it's hot outside?????

My dad still hates chihuahuas and i still want want one. and if my dad NEVER gets a chihuahua i am still going to annoy my dad.

I never liked Chihuahua's until I got one. Now they are the only small dog I would ever have. I love my little girl! She's like the daughter I never had.
