Dust Storm on the Playa, Nikon 990

Here's what it looked like from inside my VW camper on Sunday evening at Burning Man. Worst dust storm of the week, a total whiteout at times. Michael was outside trying to break down camp so we could leave at dawn monday morning. Kalea and I were taking refuge (and packing) inside the van. Dang, it was a dusty burn. But the wind died down at dusk, and by dark we could breathe again. We made it out out to watch the Temple of Honor burn, as it should be.

On an unrelated note, if you wondered whether the color T-Mobile Sidekick/Danger Hiptop is cooler than the old grayscale one, the answer is emphatically YES! I know this because I dropped my old one down an entire flight of stairs and killed it. Had to replace it with a new one. Yes, color is WAY cooler.

Also, right now in Cafe Vita, where I sit writing this, there are 4 laptops taking advantage of the wireless network. 3 of them are Apple Powerbooks. It's like that everywhere I go. Apple users are hip.
