Sad politics today. I'm disappointed, to say the least. The republicans won the Senate, kept the House, and can now help the president carry out his "mandate" from the American people. Pretty scary, if you ask me.

On the local front, almost no issues went the way I voted. The anti-tax wave is cresting high in Washington State, it seems. Yet the silly citizens of Seattle still want to build a Monorail, which isn't likely to do much at all to ease congestion on I-5...

Expatriating is sounding good about now...

There was one good result: Jay Inslee, one of the good guys from Washington, kept his seat in congress.
